iZettle is making an initial 3000 of its mobile POS chip card readers available for individuals and small businesses in the UK as part of a beta programme with MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club. iZettle is looking for a broad spectrum of users in this initial roll out to ensure it trials the service with a variety of individuals and businesses using it for different purposes. The programme is by invite only and in order to participate people need to download the app from the app store and request an invitation or sign-up via the iZettle UK website. Those who are selected will receive confirmation by email and a free chip card reader in the post.
“The UK is a priority market for us and we are very excited about kick-starting this beta programme with three of the major card networks,” said iZettle CEO and founder, Jacob de Geer.
