Dubbed TikTap, the mobile solution will enable small and medium businesses to create a brand presence amongst their consumers through the TikTap™ mobile app (view press release). Cited as a simple ‘plug and play’ system that enables retailers to embrace mobile marketing in a cost-effective manner, the solution helps retailers promote local, sustainable and reliable offers, and initiate fast, contactless transactions by tapping any smartphone (running iOS or Android) over in-store pods. The solution can be installed on the cash register and requires no manual intervention by the shop staff. 2ergo is partnering with Local Government, Retailers, Business Forums and City Centre Management Groups for a national phased roll-out of the mobile solution. The solution, which is endorsed by all major UK Epos manufacturers and distributors, will be launched in Preston, Southport and Skegness, closely followed by Salford and Blackpool.
Neale Graham, CEO of 2ergo says “TikTap puts the power of mobile marketing in the hands of the retailer, allowing them to initiate coupon based campaigns within minutes. TikTap’s service delivers a highly targeted local audience and user-friendly technology to deploy, track and, crucially, measure those campaigns. By encouraging consumers to visit retailers to redeem offers, TikTap is helping to counter the current trend of buying online, which has been identified as leading to a decline in town centres and the loss of many household brands from the high street.”
