Manage Volotea's international payment processing
DataCash, a provider of payment services, has added Volotea to its growing portfolio of international airline customers (view press release). The project, which is claimed to be one of the fastest deployments in DataCash history, spanned only six weeks from first contact to official launch. The deal enables Volotea, a European low cost carrier, to manage its international payment processing allowing customers from anywhere to book flights to any of the company’s 52 European destinations. DataCash uses its Global Payments Gateway which will provide Volotea with multi-currency bank card processing and 3-D Secure, an online transaction security technology. DataCash integrates its payment processing with Navitaire’s New Skies reservations system helping Volotea and its other airline customers save time and money and serve customers more efficiently.
“The most successful airlines are those that have actively capitalised on the opportunities for expansion presented by increased online sales in international markets, the introduction of ancillary service charges and the rise of innovative payment technologies. Volotea is a good example of an innovative and entrepreneurial airline that is using technology to offer the best service whilst achieving healthy revenues,” says Ajay Bhalla, president at DataCash.
DataCash’s airline portfolio already includes Qatar Airlines, Vueling, GermanWings and Flybe.
