U.S. Bank has launched a banking application designed for iPad users (view press release). The solution enables customers to deposit checks using the iPad camera (the same function can be performed with iPhone and Android apps), make person-to-person payments, view transactions and account balances, pay bills, make payments to other U.S. bank accounts and review rewards information. The app, which was created in partnership with Fiserv using its Mobiliti platform, is available for download from the iTunes store.
“The new U.S. Bank app for iPad comes with all of the mobile banking features that customers have come to appreciate, with the enhanced benefit of being optimized for the tablet’s larger screen,” explains Niti Badarinath, senior VP and head of mobile banking at U.S. Bank. “For example, when searching for the nearest branch, customers can now see a map side by side with text that lists hours and a phone number.”
