More efficient than card or cash payments
Cloud based POS software provider, ERPLY, is integrating with PayPal to enable its affiliated businesses to accept mobile PayPal payments in-store (view press release). Customers simply check-in to the store via the PayPal iPhone app and pay through their PayPal account. The solution also enables retailers to drive traffic through features such as customised offers and loyalty solutions that are sent to the customer’s smartphone. The system is designed to be more efficient than card or cash payments as the ring-up process, which only requires the cashier to match the name and photo of the customer, is quicker than requesting the customer swipe their card or dig out cash. Funds are also deposited to the retailers account instantly.
Early chain ERPLY businesses adapting this new technology at launch include Sway Clothing, Rudy’s Barbershop and Relax Feet Spas.
