
Money transfer and expedited bill payment services
Western Union and Veridian are entering an agreement to offer consumers Western Union money transfer and expedited bill payment services across the credit union’s 26 branches in Iowa (view press release). Through the agreement, Veridian Credit Union members will be able to send and receive domestic or international money transfers through Western Union’s network of 500,000 global agent locations, and make quick payments to its biller network. The two companies are also planning to offer Western Union online services to Veridian’s online banking members.
“Western Union is changing quickly and this agreement with Veridian builds on our company’s continued focus to work with leading credit unions and banks to provide value-added service to customers,” said SVP and general manager of Western Union, North America, Victoria Lopez-Negrete.
