Top up prepaid mobile phone accounts directly from Facebook
Mi-Pay, a mobile payment solution provider, is launching a white label Facebook app for mobile operators that enables customers to top up their prepaid mobile phone accounts directly from Facebook (view press release). The app is accessed via a mobile operator’s Facebook page and is available to anyone visiting the page; there is no need to sign into Facebook or even to have a Facebook account.
“Social Media, and Facebook in particular, is a powerful communication and advertising platform,” said Mi-Pay CEO Allan Jakobsen. “With more than 800 million people around the world using Facebook, mobile operators have an excellent opportunity to be where their customers are and to actively use this platform as a channel to increase revenues and bottom line.”
