The new mobile payment solution, dubbed Mobile Pay, integrates with the rest of PassportParking’s cloud based parking management platform and is designed to enable greater operational efficiency for providers through real time monitoring and control of their facilities (view press release). The integrated solution enables providers to control their facilities and manage day-to-day functions remotely from the internet such as parking rates, contract parking, ticketing and enforcement, and real time monitoring and reporting. Once registered, motorists can pay for parking through a mobile app, calling into a voice system, or texting their zone and space information. Text messages or voice alerts can also be set up for reminders to stop or extend parking. Providers can also team up with local businesses and organizations to implement the company’s electronic validation system, which is integrated with its mobile payment app and hardware, and designed to increase throughput and traffic.
“This is the first of many releases we have scheduled for our mobile segment,” says Charlie Youakim, managing partner at PassportParking. “Our goal isn’t to match products currently in the market, it is to exceed them.”
The app can be downloaded from the App Store, Android Market, or Passport Parking website.
