PayAnywhere, a mobile point of sale solutions provider, is adding two new Android software developer kits to its developer library (view press release). The two developer kits, Basic and Advanced, enable developers to embed credit card point of sale functionality into apps running on Android, making it possible to process major credit card payments from within the app. The new SDKs complement PayAnywhere’s existing SDKs for iOS. The apps can also accept keyed-in, ‘card-not-present’ transactions, and swiped card transactions with PayAnywhere’s credit card reader and payment processing service for smartphones and tablets. A fee of 2.69% is charged for the swiped credit card transactions. Other features of the SDKs include signature capture, attach invoice numbers to transactions, print receipts and send them via email, keep a record of transactions, and view detailed transaction reports.
