Expanding the business with a focus on mobile and hiring new staff
Rewards firm Tango Card has snagged USD1.8 million in a funding round led by Innovation Endeavours and WTI. The service lets consumers redeem loyalty points that they accumulate through purchases at retailers including Amazon and Starbucks, to make donations to charities online. The firm, which also lets consumers exchange loyalty points for cash, says the capital will be used to expand the business with a particular focus on mobile and hiring new staff. The Seattle-based company, which has partnered with Microsoft on its Bing Rewards programme, recently appointed Randy Fennel as CTO. Tango Card’s total funding to date now stands at USD2.8 million.
