BK Mobile Crown Card
Firethorn Mobile, a mobile commerce company and wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm, is teaming up with Burger King to launch the BK Mobile Crown Card pilot programme (view press release). The pilot is taking place in around 50 Burger King restaurants in Salt Lake City and the surrounding metropolitan area.
The BK Mobile Crown card application, dubbed BK, enables customers to make purchases with an Android or iOS-based phone by scanning a QR tag placed on counters and drive through windows of participating Burger King restaurants. The application is powered by the Firethorn Mobile payments service and leverages First Data’s prepaid technology.
