Gamified digital coupons service provider Fanplayr is partnering with payment platform provider CardSpring to allow developers to create applications that will enable customers to pay with credit and debit cards (view press release). The partnership is to see the integration of CardSpring’s API and the First Data SM OfferWiseSM solution with Fanplayr’s Gamified “Smart and Targeted” Digital Coupons and Offers platform. With the integration, merchants will be able to link Fanplayr’s coupons directly to a consumer’s payment card and redeem them in real time at the time of purchase, thereby reducing the friction of coupon collection and redemption.
“Fanplayr’s partnership with CardSpring streamlines and transforms the merchant and customer experiences by reducing the transaction’s obstacles. By linking the value of the coupon directly to a consumer’s payment card, the odds of it being redeemed increase significantly,” says Simon Yencken, Fanplayr CEO.
