In a bid to enhance its NFC industry, INSIDE Secure today announces that its MicroRead NFC solution controller chip has achieved certification by the NFC Forum (view press release). The certification testing was carried out by AT4 wireless in Malaga, Spain, an NFC Forum authorized test lab. The NFC Forum is a non-profit industry association that aims to advance Near Field Communication technology by developing specifications, ensuring interoperability among devices and services, and educating the market about NFC.
This certification offers assurance that products using MicroRead solutions will work with NFC mobile phones, tablet computers, access devices and other NFC products that will use NFC components certified by the NFC Forum. MicroRead and SecuRead products shipped by INSIDE Secure into markets total around 25 million units from start of deployment in 2011 to date, establishing a base of interoperable NFC devices.
