Processing of WIC EBT cash voucher benefits
Dallas-based ii2P, a provider of help desk productivity optimisation and secure password management solutions, is launching its new mobile POS payment platform (view press release). The solution enables the processing of WIC EBT cash voucher benefits, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Programme) benefits and commercial debit and credit cards for Farmers’ Market Associations (FMAs) across Texas. It was developed in partnership with POS terminal manufacturer Dejavoo Systems, and is designed for temporary outdoor venues that lack readily available electricity and have limited telephone access, such as farmers’ markets. The water resistant mobile terminal supports smart and magnetic stripe card technology, and features a rechargeable Li-ion battery and certified PIN Entry Device (PED). It also supports General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), Wi-Fi and direct dial depending on the outdoor FMA environment.
