An obvious choice
Merchant Warehouse, a payment solutions provider, is partnering with VeriFone Systems as a hardware provider for the Genius platform (view press release). Merchant Warehouse’s Genius solution, launched earlier this month, is an acceptance solution that aggregates and integrates transaction technology, payment type and customer engagement programmes through a merchant configurable Customer Engagement Device (CED). The CED displays the payment and programme options, and accepts NFC, EMV, QR codes, and loyalty, gift and rewards programmes. As part of the deal, Genius software will be pre-loaded onto VeriFone’s new MX 915 device, which accepts EMV, NFC and PIN payments.
“A key feature of the Genius platform is the Customer Engagement Device, which is a customer facing countertop device that provides complete flexibility and customisation for the merchant,” said Merchant Warehouse co-CEO, Henry Helgeson. “VeriFone was an obvious choice due to its leadership position in the mobile payments industry.”
