Belief in the Russian market
Payment solutions provider, Ingenico, is starting to produce payment terminals based on its Telium 2 platform in a Russian factory (view press release). The decision was made after analysis of the Russian payment market regarding its volume potential and structure, combined with an economic study of the benefits of manufacturing in the Russian Federation. The terminals will be produced at the Jabil factory, located in the Tver region, near Moscow. Jabil is an electronic product solutions company and the factory facilities will enable the manufacture of around 500,000 units from the Ingenico product range.
“The belief in Russia, the Russian market and in its development have led to the decision to start production, preparation and manufacturing of POS-terminals in Russia, with a strong quality control,” said MD of Ingenico Russia, Pavel Aleksandrov. “It also matches the overall Ingenico desire to be closer and more accessible to its customers…”
