Making mobile payments and PoS cash register features
Credit and debit card processor, Moneris Solutions, is launching an integrated mobile payment processing solution specifically for mid-size and large merchants (view press release). The solution -used on iPhone and iPod touch devices via Wi-Fi – combines the company’s POSPAD software and Ingenico’s iSMP hardware, to enable retailers and developers to make mobile payments and PoS cash register features.
Magnetic stripe, EMV Chip & Pin and contactless cards can be accepted on the solution and Bluetooth compatibility with wireless receipt printers and an integrated barcode scanner allows for an optimal mobile PoS cash register experience.
“With the growing demand for mobile payment processing services, merchants want and expect solutions that best suit their business and customer needs,” said Amer Matar, chief technology officer of Moneris Solutions. “We are proud to complement our micro-merchant-focused PAYD offering with yet another pioneering mobile solution – giving larger merchants the benefits of an electronic cash register and a versatile payment processing terminal, with the security they’ve come to expect from Moneris. The offering cements Moneris’ position as the leading provider of mobile payment solutions for businesses on the go.”
