Capario, a provider of revenue cycle management solutions, is partnering with TransFirst, a provider of transaction processing services and payment enabling technologies, to launch an integrated patient pay solution (view press release). The solution will enable healthcare providers to collect patient payments through the Caprio portal at check in and check out with credit card swipe technology and bill and collect payments from patients after insurance has been paid. In addition, healthcare providers will be able to maintain a patient payment portal where patients can view their statements and pay their balances online and offer the option of extended payment plans or recurring payments to patients. They will also have the ability to accept and post cheques received in the mail using ACH cheque conversion and the facility to establish a protocol around collecting past and current patient account balances at the time of service, designed to reduce the number of A/R days.
