Starbucks gift card
Starbucks US is collaborating with LivingSocial to offer consumers a discount, allowing them to buy a USD10 Starbucks gift card for USD5. The companies reportedly plan to sell at least 1million deals.
The LivingSocial deal comes just two weeks after the exit of Groupon’s top sales exec, who would have been in charge of brokering deals with companies such as Starbucks. Following the announcement, Groupon shares hit a record low of USD4. The company has struggled with slumping share prices since its IPO in 2011.
