
Virtual mobile payment capabilities
CorFire, the mobile commerce arm of global payments technology provider, SK C&C USA, is providing virtual mobile payment capabilities to coffee and donut chain,Dunkin’ Donuts (view press release). The technology will support the chain’s mobile app which was launched recently, which removed the need for physical cards and enables consumers to gift via SMS, email and social networks. In addition to mobile payment options, the app developed by CorFire incorporates social media functions such as mobile gifting options through social media, to mobile devices, via email and text message. Users who lose or forget their gift card, can still view the status of sent gift cards (as unclaimed or delivered), to ensure cards are utilised along with notifications and reminders about gift redemption.
