
MasterCard repower-enabled prepaid cards
Western Union is partnering MasterCard to allow cardholders with MasterCard repower-enabled prepaid cards issued by any bank in the US to reload their cards at Western Union agent locations in the country (view press release). The partnership with MasterCard increases the company’s reload network in the US to around 100,000 locations. In addition to Western Union locations, eligible MasterCard prepaid cardholders can top up or reload their cards at major retailers throughout the U.S., including Walgreens, RadioShack and Wal-Mart.
