
Mobile checkout
Mobile payment service provider, Hybrid Paytech, is partnering with wireless and mobile workforce solutions firm, PiiComm, to provide it will mobile payment solutions at the checkout (view press release). Through the deal, companies will be able to integrate their existing merchant accounts to enable payment and checkout on mobile devices outside the physical store.
Hybrid’s payment platform will accept credit payments over existing Motorola Solutions MC65 and MC75 devices running Windows Mobile 6.x operating systems, as well as iOS and Android smart-phones and tablets, and will be enabled for Chip-and-PIN (EMV) credit and debit in 2013.
