Lemon, a mobile wallet provider, is launching its Lemon digital wallet for publishers (view press release). Lemonade, as it has been called, is an open mobile wallet platform that supports multiple branded payment cards, loyalty cards and coupons.
In addition to the digital wallet, Lemon is releasing a number of features for its mobile wallet app, including an additional security layer, enhanced card monitoring tools and card management tools.
In conjunction with the platform’s launch, the company has created the ‘Lemonade Challenge’ – a contest where developers will be awarded over USD20, 000 in cash, prizes and promotional exposure for the best add-ons created using the Lemonade platform.
