Check PINs online
Bank of America Merrill Lynch, a provider of transaction services, is enhancing its Commercial Card offering by launching an online PIN check (view press release). The service dubbed Online PIN Check aims to allow Chip and PIN cardholders to view their PIN in a secure environment. Users need to log onto the website and then login with a password. The company says a website is more convenient particularly for business travellers who often do not have the luxury of waiting a number of days to receive a PIN confirmation through the post. The site is currently available in English and will be offered in French, German, Italian, and Spanish by the end of the year.
BofA Merill listened to feedback from clients who were looking for a quicker and more convenient way for verifying their personal identification number.
The online PIN Check website is currently available to the company’s Chip and PIN cardholders in the United States and Europe, and will be available to Canadian clients next month following the rollout of Chip and PIN in that market.
