AccessPortal has bought a majority stake in cash payments gaming firm Rixty for an undisclosed amount. Rixty is a service that allows users to buy gaming pre-pay cards online without the use of credit cards, via either paper bills or by completing surveys. MOL purchased social site Friendster in 2009 and has since relaunched it as a social gaming site. The majority stake in Rixty may help MOL monetise Friendster’s new focus.
