SEQR is a secure mobile app
Axfood, the third largest retailer in Sweden, will be using Seamless’s SEQR mobile payment system for 360 of its stores and 117 franchises, in a record-breaking deal.
The system will be rolled out to all of Axfood’s Hemköp, Willys and PrisXtra stores by the end of the year.
“The solution means that Axfood can avoid the high fees charged by the card companies without any investment”, said Peter Fredell, President and CEO of Seamless.
SEQR is a secure mobile app whereby customers scan QR codes at checkout and then approve payment by entering their PIN. The receipt for the transaction is then saved in their mobile phones.
