Gold Visa cards
Russian bank Sberbank has issued solid gold diamond-encrusted Visa cards to some of its richest customers in Kazakhstan.
The Visa Infinite Exclusive cards made from pure gold with pearl embossing and 26 diamonds have been distributed to the top 100 customers made up mainly of oligarchs from the country’s energy industry.
ABC News reports that the card will cost $100,000; $65,000 of which is used to mint it. It can be used for chip and PIN transactions but owners will need to use a regular card to access funds through an ATM.
MasterCard and Kazkommertsbank introduced a similar card in Kazakhstan back in 2008.
