Reporting on mobile banking
Keynote Systems has released a report on mobile banking, according to Finextra. The study found that American banks are abandoning Blackberry apps in favour of Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Android.
BB&T was named the best for text banking, Wells Fargo for mobile Web, privacy, security, quality and availability, Chase for iPhone and Blackberry apps, and best overall functionality, and Bank of America for Android apps. It was also reported that the big banks offer the best mobile app services but that the smaller banks were capable of providing a decent service.
“Year over year, we saw that banks that had planned BlackBerry Smartphones apps, are pulling back with the falling market share of the brand,” said Chris Musto, general manager, customer experience delivery at Keynote.
