After a 5-year long process, payment solution provider MONEXT has been approved as a trusted third party on the Visa website (view press release) and all of its PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standard) platforms are certified.
This means its customers – which include banks, merchants and e-merchants – will have their sensitive data handled in an ultra-secure manner during storage and transmission without any major financial investment.
One of the reasons for the move was that, according to MONEXT, “With an increase in cyber-attacks to steal bank data from financial intermediaries, the Visa network announced that from January 1st, 2013, cyber-merchants and traditional merchants must use certified platforms to host their transactional applications.”
