Remote check deposit
Technology Credit Union has launched a mobile check deposit service through which customers can deposit a check from their home at any time by endorsing the back of the check and taking a picture of it with their smartphones/tablets (iPhone/iPad/iPodTouch/Android) and feeding that into the app. It has received a 4.5/5 star rating on Apple’s App Store.
“Within two weeks of launching the service, Tech CU’s members made nearly $700,000 in deposits using Mobile Deposit. We expect those numbers to grow exponentially,” said Tech CU’s SVP of Support Services Jeannie Sugaoka.
It has also been reported that the company has several upcoming mobile banking initiatives, including a possible partnership with PayPal.
