E-invoicing solution
GlobalSign, a Certification Authority and specialist in digital certificate security, will provide secure electronic invoicing services using its PDF Document Signing solution to Draycir, a software development company (view press release). Based on the Adobe Certified Document Services (CDS) platform, the solution allows for the creation, transfer and storage of VAT compliant e-invoices.
On January 1 2013, Council Directive 2010/45/EU will come into action on all EU countries harmonisnig the legal framework for VAT invoicing, and firms will only have to deal with a single, simplified set of rules to make e-invoicing easier. In light of this, Draycir, GlobalSign and SafeNet have collaborated to produce a paperless invoicing solution. For the majority of SME users, GlobalSign’s solution is created and maintained on iKey 4000 USB SafeNet hardware cryptographic devices.
