Mobile payment security
Fingerprint Cards (FPC) has completed changes to its algorithm and swipe sensor, while minimising the memory footprint and use of processor capacity, as part of its venture with Infineon to add fingerprint technologies to the latter’s Embedded Secure Element in order to increase transaction security.
The main solution is plug & play for mobile NFC solution providers to enable secure access and transactions in mobile phones.
According to Juergen Spaenkuch, Vice President and General Manager Platform Security of the Chip Card & Security Division at Infineon Technologies: “With Fingerprint Cards, we have an additional partner for secure applications… this helps us generate added value for our customers.”
FPC will also be adding its new user-friendly Android applications for mobile payments.
