MasterCard will work with the Home Trust Company to develop a prepaid card business for its customers in Canada (view press release).
The Home Trust Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Home Capital Group Inc. and through its partnership with MasterCard also aims to grow its merchant acquiring portfolio in conjunction with Payment Services Interactive Gateway Corp. (PSiGate)
“Prepaid is an important product for MasterCard and we’re looking forward to working with Home Trust to grow the reach of prepaid in both the commercial and consumer spaces,” said David E. Orzel, Senior Vice President, Market Development, MasterCard Canada.
