Providing online shopping offers
MasterCard and e-commerce services provider FiftyOne Global Ecommerce are to provide exclusive online shopping offers from U.S. merchants to MasterCard cardholders outside the United States, in time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday (view press release). International MasterCard cardholders can now avail of deals and complete orders using local currency without the need to keep an eye on currency exchange rates or dealing with delays.
The partnership, which goes live on Thursday November 22nd, enables retailers to offer deals that are tailored to their local market. To redeem the offer, consumers enter a redemption code at the checkout, which can be accessed through MasterCard’s web properties which include Priceless Cities and MasterCard Market Place, as well as through its social channels.
Geoff Iddison, Group Executive, Global E-commerce at MasterCard said: “Fuelled by growing emerging economies, broadband penetration and access to information, consumers all over the world have developed a ‘global mind-set’ with vast brand recognition and a desire to buy these brands, whenever and wherever. MasterCard recognizes this trend, and is working with customers and partners like FiftyOne to provide cardholders an enhanced global shopping experience that is a safe, simple and frictionless.”
