Expanding Asian distribution networks
Network and security payments company Mako Networks is partnering Strateq of Malaysia, AMTI and 3D Networks of the Philippines and IT Consulting & Services of Singapore, to strengthen its position in three key Asian markets (view press release).
The deal sees the expansion of Mako’s network management and security solutions, including Mako’s range of network appliances and cloud-based Central Management System for connection, protection, control and reporting of Internet-related activity. The system allows for the secure migration of critical business data (including payment transactions) onto public broadband, using Mako’s Level 1 Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification—the highest security clearance attainable for protecting credit card data. Mako’s cloud-managed networking solutions and appliances are managed and configured through the Central Management System, which can be accessed through a web browser.
Bong M. Paloma, General Manager/Senior Vice President, AMTI said: “The Mako System provides us with an ideal solution for the Philippine market: a simple and cost-effective way to securely and reliably connect dispersed offices like remote branches, SOHOs, clinics, health centres, retail outlets, convenience stores, petrol stations, lottery outlets, and even government offices, using the public Internet.”
