2012 biggest year for holiday shopping on mobile
According to a report by mobile ad firm BuzzCity, just over half of consumers worldwide are ‘likely’ or ‘certain’ to buy gifts using a mobile device this Christmas.
The report, which forecasts that 2012 will be the biggest year for holiday shopping on mobile yet, says that around a third of global shoppers will spend more than half of their gift budgets on smartphones or tablets.
The survey focuses primarily on smartphone use and claims that 73% of those polled are planning to shop on mobile for the first time this festive season, suggesting a growing willingness among consumers to make purchases on smartphones and tablets.
