Launching backed with USD10M
San Francisco-based mobile payments platform Cardfree is launching backed with USD10m from Mercury Payments Systems founder, Jeffrey Katz. Cardfree offers a range of white-label tools to merchants includes payments, analytics and deals services. The startup comprises execs from payments firms such as mFoundry and Starbucks’ mobile app team. Cardfree CEO Jon Squire is banking on success, claiming that the firm’s management team “created the gold standard in mobile commerce deployments”.
