
Firm offers interactive social banking
Student banking startup Waspit has raised USD3min a funding round from a group of New York-based angels. The firm offers an interactive social banking platform for students, which combines social media integration with traditional banking features. The service allows students to access their accounts online using an Android or iOS app. The service launched this October and claims to have 5,500 students currently registered with 5,500 with another 16,000 on a waiting list to use the platform. Waspit will use its funding for sales, marketing and further product development.
