E-commerce in Indonesia goes global
IPAYMU and PayPal have partnered allowing e-commerce users to send and receive payments. This represents the second such partnership with the global firm as Doku earlier announced their affiliation to PayPal this month.
IPAYMU had its launch after spending over a year in beta. Now the startup will offer cross border e-commerce solutions, particularly for businesses. The agreement with PayPal will enable Indonesian merchants to sell to 190 countries globally with over 20 currencies. The focus will be getting local SMB’s to extend their reach, selling products and services worldwide.
According to Co-founder Riyeke “Keke” Ustadiyanto, the startup aims to solve the problems in online payment spaces in Indonesia as well help to increase the e-commerce industry’s rate of growth.
