Turkey’s IsBank integrates mobile banking with ATM’s

IsBank customers can now set up ATM withdrawals through their handset mobile apps by scanning a QR code on cash screens. The Turkish bank is integrating its payment platforms by eliminating the need for customers to follow the traditional card, chip and pin process.

Furthermore, the new model is said to be faster – transactions taking 10 seconds – which is helping to reduce queues. The initiative marks another move towards reducing customer dependence on cards in addition to last year’s deployment of 34000 Hitachi biometric finger scanners in IsBank ATM’s across Turkey.

The multiplatform integration named IsCep has been developed by SoftTech and allows users to initiate and complete withdrawals using their phones.
