WorldPay and UK-based luxury travel deals provider Secret Escape, have entered a payments deal. Under the agreed terms, WorldPay will handle Secret Escape’s payment transactions.
The payment and risk services provider will implement its extensive portfolio of solutions to enable Secret Escape to increase its number of accepted payment methods. This is in light of international expansion plans. Secret Escapes has amassed more than 2 million registered members and more than 1,000 hotels and suppliers since it launched in early 2011.
The agreement with WorldPay comes on the back of securing GBP8m of funding to bolster the company’s position in the UK market as well as expansion plans in the US and Europe.
