OpenCoin is buying wish list service SimpleHoney for an undisclosed amount. Under the deal, SimpleHoney’s 12-person team will join OpenCoin, although its app will continue to operate.
OpenCoin is the firm behind Ripple, an open source online payment service. The opencoin project is about “digital cash”. The firm also develops a system consisting of minting software, wallet software and everything that is necessary to have a system for anonymous electronic transactions.
