GlobalPlatform has announced that Good Technology is now a Full Member of its organisation. Good, which specialises in secure enterprise mobility, will share its mobile identity and access management (IAM) expertise with GlobalPlatform. This is in order to support the association’s drive towards standardising mobile device security and enhancing secure mobility among enterprises.
Good joins the association to engage in GlobalPlatform’s work to develop and promote a standardized trusted execution environment* (TEE), an initiative that is continuing to gain market traction. Good will initially focus its attention on the Device Committee which is heading up GlobalPlatform’s work in this area.
“Mobile devices have quickly become a vital element in employee productivity and it’s crucial that enterprises have the technology to enable secure, collaborative working environments,” said Dr. Nicko van Someren, CTO at Good Technology. “By joining GlobalPlatform as a Full Member, Good is able to take an active role in developing the specifications that will further advance enterprise mobile security and workflow for today’s most popular mobile devices.”
