Acquired by Intuit
Intuit has acquired financial startup GoodApril for an undisclosed fee, although GoodApril says the figure is less than USD20m.
GoodApril develops a product called Tax Checkup that reminds users of tax deadlines, as well as providing information about credits, deductions and qualifications. It was showcased at the Techstars Boulder programme earlier this year. GoodApril’s two co-founders will join Intuit in director positions.
According to GoodApril co-founder and CEO Mitchell Fox, negotiations between the two companines for the acquisition have been ongoing for weeks.
“They helped us make sure it was a deal we were very happy with,” Fox said.
