mopay, has announced it is now providing a new mobile payment option for Germany-based maxdome. The leading video-on-demand platform will now offer the ability for customers to complete their payments without pre-registration. This payment option is available for every user who has an active subscription with any mobile carrier in Germany, and the full maxdome content catalogue can be ordered and paid with mopay.
Maxdome’s customers can now order and pay with mopay literally from their own couches. By deciding to integrate mobile payments into the available payment mix, the subsidiary of Germany’s media giant ProSiebenSat.1 addresses this new segment of users who are looking for a secure and convenient way to pay.
Paying with a mobile phone for each download is a quicker and much more convenient payment experience. New users of the platform who do not want to fully register beforehand are offered the additional option, “pay by SMS,” when choosing a film. Opting for this version simply requires consumers to text a short code to initiate the order and payment process.
“We are thrilled to have established a strong alliance with one of the largest video-on-demand platforms in Europe,” said mopay CEO Ingo Lippert. “By removing the need for consumers to register in order to pay for video service, we are helping to make the maxdome platform significantly more attractive to new users.”
