First Global Data has announced it has been granted a new ‘Money Transmitter’ license in the US by the State of Mississippi.
First Global is now able to conduct money services in 18 States in the USA, having received 6 new licenses since January 2014. First Global can now provide mobile and online payments, domestic and international money remittances, and other money services.
“We are thankful to have received another money transmission license, this time by the state of Mississippi. With this new state license we are able to reach a population of approximately 174 million people across the USA. We believe that our strategy of building our global infrastructure which includes going the more difficult route of obtaining licenses, operating in full compliance with regulatory guidelines, and extending our international reach are fundamental building blocks to our greater strategy. As we move closer to a more comprehensive launch of our mobile and online services, having licenses in each state becomes very important. Our goal is to provide a suite of ubiquitous value added services to our customers across the USA.” said Andre Itwaru, Chairman, President and CEO of the Corporation.
