Barnes International has announced it has scheduled dates for its 3-day EMV training courses across the Americas and Asia.
The course is for organisations planning to deploy EMV payment cards for the first time – regardless of whether they are involved in the manufacture, personalisation, certification or issuance process. Following an EMV overview, it focuses on the decision making involved in EMV, as well as providing an understanding of the EMV transaction flow, contact and contactless card applications, EMV cryptography and card personalisation.
The 2014 training course schedule is as follows:
- 01 – 03 September, Jakarta, Indonesia
- 15 – 17 September, Los Angeles, USA
- 29 September – 1 October, Mumbai, India
- 13 – 15 October, Minneapolis, USA
- 27 – 29 October, Chicago, USA
- 10 – 12 November, Manila, Philippines
- 24 – 26 November, Mexico City, Mexico
- 8 – 10 December, Shanghai, China
Brian Summerhayes, Managing Director, Barnes International, said: “We have historically run our EMV training course in-house, but as countries across the Americas and Asia progress with their EMV migration programme, we are increasingly requested to offer public courses. Delegates leave our EMV training course with confidence about how to approach this imminent change to their business, and understand that whilst it represents a significant operational challenge, it is also a huge opportunity for growth and differentiation.”
