White label gateway solution provider PAY.ON is rolling out their Open Payment Platform, which the company is calling “a major transformation of their payment infrastructure”.
PAY.ON’s open API payment technology has been developed to give payment service providers, acquirers, and other payment companies greater flexibility and simplicity when integrating their white label global payment gateway solutions. Streamlined, automated processes aim to remove bottlenecks so that PAY.ON’s partners can move quickly in a rapidly changing payments market.
According to PAY.ON the shift towards open platform architecture is a significant trend in payments, opening the door to increased innovation and allowing developers to leverage existing payment technology to build their own apps and features that integrate directly with the PAY.ON platform.
Wolfgang Berner, PAY.ON’s Senior Vice President of Product, said: “Open payment technology will change the way that we work with our partners, who will stand to benefit even more from outsourcing payment infrastructure. Our developers have built our Open Payment Platform with other developers in mind, creating intuitive and interactive documentation that allows our partners to build their own payment apps and features, and evolve with us.”
“With interactive tutorials it is possible to integrate, test and customize payment forms in real time. The unified open API will equip our partners with the tools they need to better serve their merchants and successfully grow their businesses. Streamlined processes, automated merchant onboarding, and ease-of-use are the hallmarks of Open Payment Platform.”
Although open API models are not new, payment innovators such as Stripe have demonstrated how open technology can provide merchants with seamless, simplified services.
PAY.ON’s open platform, at the core of all their modular gateway solutions, aims to give globally-oriented merchants a powerful tool kit to support alternative payment methods, cross-border acquiring, and fraud prevention solutions.
Berner added: “We are in a consolidating market, and with increased competition, the need to innovate and to save costs at the same time is becoming essential. Open Payment Platform will give our partners the technology they need to stay ahead of the curve.”
PAY.ON will be officially launching their Open Payment Platform at the Merchant Payments Ecosystem (MPE) in Berlin, 17-19 February.
