Visa Europe’s innovation hub opens in Berlin (Video)

Visa Europe Collab, Visa Europe’s international FinTech innovation hub,  opens in its third city, Berlin, this month.

At the beginning of May London became the first city to house the incubator, which takes promising companies through a 100-day innovation process. Tel Aviv followed at the end of May.

Berlin seemed like a natural place from where to operate an innovation hub. It is home to 5,000 start-ups and the relative stability of the German economy makes it an attractive city for national and international companies and start-ups.

Visa Europe partnered up with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. Both partners will provide the hub and its participants with insight gained from their roles as service providers and consultants, as well as invaluable insight into the payments industry. The hub will also be connected to Visa Europe’s network of 3,000 banks as well as provide physical space for startups and corporates of all types to work together on innovation projects.
