H&M exec joins Swedish FinTech firm

Trustly, a pan-European FinTech company specialising in providing faster payments, has announced the appointment of Josef Darmark and Märta Viberg. The two will play an integral role in Trustly’s global expansion.

Founded in 2008, Trustly provides safer and faster online payments to over 70m customers across Europe. The payments company was also ranked among Sweden’s fastest growing technology companies on the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 list.

Darmark has joined Trustly as head of product, having recently worked as payment project manager within retail giant H&M’s Sweden division. Darmark has vast experience working within the payments industry, having previously served as payment director for European igaming group Betsson in London and Malta.

Viberg joins Trustly as head of consumer risk, having previously worked within the credit risk department for Klarna Group.

Both Darmark and Viberg will be focussing their efforts on driving conversion and growth in current and new markets.

Carl Wilsson, CEO of Trustly Group, commented on the firm’s new additions.

‘‘Josef and Märta are perfect complements to Trustly’s existing team and are fundamental to our strategy to provide the most innovative and versatile ePayments solutions for e-commerce, p2p marketplaces, financial services and travel. These key hires will contribute to putting Trustly in a strong position ahead of our upcoming expansion in Europe.’’
